Lucky Reminder - Award-winning Desktop Reminder Software
Do you have problems remembering things, like important events and such? If you do, then you need to turn to software for help. There are specialized software applications out there that will ensure you will not forget about an important event. One such specialized software application is the 024h Software-developed Lucky Reminder.
There are several things you are going to like about this application – and one thing you are not going to like. Starting in a logical progression, here are the things you are going to like.
First of all you are going to like the fact that the download weighs in at less than 1MB. At such a lightweight download size, it should take but a moment for the download to complete, even on the lousiest of internet connections. Once the download completes, it is time to install the application – the installation process goes smoothly and rapidly, which is nice (I counted some 8 clicks between launching the setup wizard and until the app was up and running).
Once up and running, Lucky Reminder offers a simple enough interface that you can use to set up reminders. All you have to do is click the New Event button and you will be able to easily create one-time reminders or reoccurring reminders (daily, weekly, monthly, or yearly). When it is time for Lucky Reminder to remind you about something, it will display a popup window and will play a sound. You will like the fact that you can change the default audio notification with a sound of your choice (MP3 or WAV file.
And now we get to the thing you will not like: Lucky Reminder is not freeware. You can use the application free of charge, but only during a trial period of 30-days. There are other similar tools out there that do not cost money and offer similar functionality. I could for example use Google Calendar to notify me by email or SMS about an important event.
Lucky Reminder is an easy to use planning tool that worked well during our testing. Too bad it’s not freeware.
Pros
Cons
Free to use only during the 30-day trial period
